Wait?.. NO LEAF SPRING axle? That’s right! Low quality, stiff and bouncy spring axles are very common on small camping trailers. I bet you’ve seen those bouncy “jumpin kangaroo” small trailers towing down the road. Small bumps, holes and inconsistencies on the road can cause excessive bouncing for spring axles. Stiff spring suspension cause more stress and vibration on the trailer frame and box – leading to failure of welds, screws and the dreadful staples we see too much of among RV construction .
